About Me
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over 10 years of experience in the field of child and youth mental health and development. For the past decade, I have supported children, youth, and their families as they navigate mental health, developmental, and behavioral challenges, offering care that is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s lived experience.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and an Animal-Assisted Therapy certification from Harcum College. I completed an intensive 8-month practicum with the Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma, where I gained tremendous experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
I have experience working with children, youth, and adults, with a particular focus on supporting neurodivergent individuals and those who have experienced trauma.
My practice is rooted in trauma‑informed care and supported by specialized training in working with individuals across the lifespan who have experienced trauma. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, validated, and empowered to move at a pace that honors their needs and goals.
As a Certified Animal‑Assisted Therapy practitioner, I also integrate the therapeutic presence of animals when appropriate, recognizing the unique comfort, co‑regulation, and connection they can offer. My therapy dog‑in‑training, Oscar, helps create a warm, regulated, and supportive space for children, youth, and adults to process past and present challenges.
My goal is to offer a space where you feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported as you navigate healing, growth, and self‑understanding.
